The mission of the Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Association is to enhance the recreational, educational and interpretive programs of the Bureau of Land Management by providing materials and services to the public which promote an understanding, and appreciation of, the natural history, cultural history and sciences of Southern Nevada and specifically, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
At RRCIA, our goal is to enhance the visitor experience. Founded in 1988, we offer educational and interpretive programs that inform, inspire, and engage visitors of all ages.
What do we mean by “interpretation?” Interpretive programming includes communication and activities that connect visitors to the incredible resource that is Red Rock Canyon. Interpretation goes beyond the facts and figures to allow visitors to develop a meaningful personal relationship with the natural world.

Supporting RRCIA includes funding for interpretive programming and visitor education. This can include supplies or equipment, publications, interpretive staff time, or special requests by the BLM or other agencies and programs. Our fellow supporters, volunteers, and community are encouraged to become members in order to sustain our work and to develop new and engaging programs. We also offer occasional volunteer and hiring opportunities.
