Bring together your creative side with nature!

The Red Rock Canyon Artist-in-Residence (AiR) program promotes the understanding and appreciation of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area through the world of art. Artists reflect on scenic beauty, cultural history, and community engagement.

We are now accepting applications from artists for the 2019 AiR program. Applications are due by February 7, 2019, and application can be downloaded here:

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area offers unique perspective on the history of human settlement in the American southwest, from petroglyphs dating from prehistory to present-day suburban sprawl.

The Red Rock Canyon Artist-in-Residence program aims to support artists whose work will advance our understanding and appreciation for these special places. Artists are prompted to consider the cultural history of this region and comment on the significance of Red Rock Canyon and other public lands sites within contemporary discourses about art and the environment.
