Join Interpretive Naturalists at the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center picnic tables from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM for Art in Nature. This month’s featured art project is flower embroidery! Get step by step instructions on how to embroider Globemallow, Mojave Sage, Yerba Mansa, Desert Paintbrush and more! You can use provided materials or bring something of your own to embroider on. Appreciate the beauty of the desert while you work and enjoy some fun facts from naturalists.

This monthly program will occur the second Monday of every month from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. This is an outdoor program, so please dress accordingly.

Interpretive programs at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are a free public service. No registration is required for this program, however, a Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive Timed Entry reservation (available at or by calling 1-877-444-6777) is required.

When visiting Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, it is important to dress accordingly for the weather. It is recommended to wear sunscreen, appropriate footwear, bring a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water.
