Event Details
Winter is the best time to watch birds in the desert. Many songbirds, raptors & waterfowl arrive in southern Nevada to spend the winter. Mountain birds from Mt. Charleston descend the mountain to stay warm on the desert floor. In the spring, a number of birds will be moving through the area, returning from their winter retreat to their summer home. Learn which birds are in the area, as well as basic identification techniques at this tabletop program. You’ll also find out the best places to see birds at Red Rock Canyon. Kids can even try out some binoculars. All ages. No registration necessary.
