Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
One of our favorite routes in Red Rock Canyon is the trail from Red Spring to Calico I. It leads through a “secret canyon” with amazing rock formations. Lizards, jackrabbits, and Joshua trees are abundant. If you are craving a short & secluded hike with more animals than people, then this one’s for you. Moderate to strenuous 2 mile hike with some rock scrambling. Ages 12+. Limited space/registration necessary.
