Event Details

Join a Bureau of Land Management Park Ranger and a Southern Nevada Conservancy Naturalist on Periodic Table Day to learn how the colors we see in nature are rooted in the chemistry of their environments. This program will consist of a 30-minute talk followed by an art table with activities focusing on colors in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Visitors are welcome to attend either or both!

Interpretive programs at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are a free public service. Advance registration at redrockcanyonlvprograms.timetap.com is required to attend this program. Additionally, a Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive Timed Entry reservation (available at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777) is required.

When visiting Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, it is important to dress accordingly for the weather. It is recommended to wear sunscreen, appropriate footwear, bring a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water.
