Event Details

Welcome to Creature Feature: a monthly presentation showcasing a native animal that inhabits Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, that will happen on the last Friday of every month! In this month’s presentation, we will be focusing on Nevada’s state insect: the Vivid Dancer (Argia vivida). These Creature Feature presentations provide a wealth of information, including details about their lifespan, diet, habitat, and more. The presentation is expected to run for approximately 15 minutes. It will commence as soon as guests arrive and will conclude in around 15 minutes, depending on the number of questions that may arise. Visitors are welcome to join us anytime between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM to get to know more about one of the creatures that call Red Rock Canyon home.

This presentation will be held in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Visitor Center Amphitheater from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
