Event Details

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is next week and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is partnering with Latino Outdoors to celebrate!

If you’ve seen the movie Coco, you’re likely familiar with this holiday that believes we can have a reunion with the spirits of the dead. Ofrendas, or altars, are built and contain images of deceased loved ones, food and beverages they would have liked, yellow marigolds, and other items.

Come from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 1 and 2 to learn more about this holiday. We will have an ofrenda in the Visitor Center Amphitheater and will have Mexican pastries and coffee to try. You can also bring a photo of a relative, friend, or pet that has passed away to add to the ofrenda.

This event is within the fee area of Red Rock Canyon NCA and reservations to enter the Scenic Drive are required 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Flyer with marigolds, skull, and paper flags. Text states Dia de los Muertos at Red Rock Canyon NCA. Latino Outdoors Las Vegas Tabling Event. November 1st and 2nd. Red Rock Canyon NCA Amphitheater.
