Event Details

Fall and winter can be splendid times to watch birds in the desert. Many songbirds, raptors, and waterfowl arrive in southern Nevada to spend the winter. Mountain birds from Mt. Charleston descend from the mountain to stay warm on the desert floor. Learn which birds are in the area, as well as basic identification techniques. You’ll also find out the best places to see birds at Red Rock Canyon. Kids can even try out some binoculars! All ages. No registration necessary.
