Event Details

Join Interpretive Naturalists as we explore the majestic desert scenery right outside of the scenic drive. Learn interesting facts about the plants, animals, and geology of the Mojave Desert! The hike will be approximately 2.75 miles long and involves a 400ft climb to the ridge line. The descent will have loose rocks and a few one foot tall step downs. This hike is recommended for those that are sure footed and have solid shoes with good grip. Hiking poles or walking sticks are also suggested.

Registration necessary/limited space. Call (702) 515-5367. Time of hike and meet up location will be given during registration.

Ages 12+. Bring 1 liter water per mile per person and dress for the weather. There are no restrooms in the parking area. 

We will end the hike with a meet and greet with Jackson, the Red Rock Canyon Burro!
