Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
This varied hike takes us up beautiful Gateway Canyon – known for its red and white striped “candy cane” rocks. This area is popular with rock climbers. We will see and discuss some of their routes and techniques, as well as natural history, on this hike. We will approach the canyon from the bottom and not cross over Kraft Mountain. Moderate to strenuous 3 mile hike with some rock scrambling. Ages 15+. Limited space/registration necessary.
