Join an Interpretive Naturalist in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Visitor Center Amphitheater anytime from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM for a free 15 minute presentation on the elusive Gila Monster. This 15 minute presentation will have all sorts of information about the Gila Monster, like its lifespan, diet, habitat, etc. Additionally there will be a Gila Monster craft available for those who would like to participate. The presentation will start whenever guests join between the 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM timeframe and will last ~15 minutes depending on questions. The craft will consists of a creating your very own Gila Monster out of beads!

Interpretive programs at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are a free public service. No registration is required for this program, however, a Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive Timed Entry reservation (available at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777) is required.

When visiting Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, it is important to dress accordingly for the weather. It is recommended to wear sunscreen, appropriate footwear, bring a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water.
