Event Details
Come to the Willow Springs Picnic Area parking lot on Monday, October 9th, anytime from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM to celebrate Indigenous People’s Day and speak with one of our Interpretive Naturalists to learn about the Indigenous peoples of Red Rock Canyon. The Willow Springs Picnic Area in Red Rock Canyon NCA is a great place to view petroglyphs, pictographs, and agave roasting pits, so after speaking with the Interpretive Naturalist you can inquire about where would be the best places to view these historic and cultural artifacts, and then check them out for yourself!
This tabletop presentation will be outside, so dress accordingly for the weather. While visiting Red Rock Canyon NCA is recommended to wear sunscreen, bring a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water, and if planning to hike wear sturdy shoes. Registration is not required, all are welcome.
