Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
Hike with Tom on one of Red Rock’s most interesting geological features: the Keystone Thrust. Come and see where older Cambrian limestone has moved on top of the younger Jurassic sandstone. You will actually be able to stand on the contact zone between these two periods in time. We will also see a cooking site used possibly as long as 1000 years ago. Moderately difficult hike of 1.5 miles. Ages 7+. Limited space/registration required.
