Event Details

Come and hike with Tom on the Kraft Mountain Loop. We will enjoy breathtaking views, amazing scenery including some of the most unique coloring of the Aztec sandstone in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Some call the sandstone on this hike “candy cane” due to the unusual markings. This hike has one area where we will ascend about 600 feet in about 1/2 mile. There will be some light scrambling down dry spillovers.

Make sure that you bring at least 1 liter of water per person for this hike. This hike will take about 3.5 hours and is rated as moderate to strenuous. The hike will start and end at the trailhead at the Upper Red Spring Parking Lot.
