Do you want to learn how to navigate the wilderness with only a map and compass? Do you find GPS makes it too easy to plan a hike? Well then, join a Bureau of Land Management Ranger at our Visitor Center as we dive into how to navigate with a paper map and compass and discover the true spirit of adventure. We will provide you with all the tools you need as we learn in a classroom setting how to read a topographical map and basic compass use. Be prepared for your next hike knowing that you have the skills to navigate even when your cell phone battery is dead.
