Event Details
Come celebrate Native American Heritage Month with an Interpretive Naturalist, anytime from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM, at the Petroglyph Wall Trailhead. There you will be able to speak with an Interpretive Naturalist to learn about the First peoples of Red Rock Canyon, and their historic and cultural artifacts that can be found within RRCNA. The Willow Springs Picnic Area in Red Rock Canyon NCA is a great place to view petroglyphs, pictographs, and agave roasting pits, so after speaking with the Interpretive Naturalist you can inquire about where would be the best places to view these historic and cultural artifacts, and then check them out for yourself!
Registration is not required, all are welcome.
This tabletop will be outside, so dress accordingly for the weather. When visiting Red Rock Canyon NCA it is recommended to wear sunscreen, bring a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water. If you plan on hiking, wear sturdy shoes.
Age Limit: None
