Event Details

Join a Bureau of Land Management Park Ranger for a lively, informative, hands‑on watercolor adventure! Each month, we’ll highlight one of the remarkable plants or animals that call Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area home. After enjoying a ranger-led presentation full of fun facts and information, you’ll bring that month’s featured species to life on paper using watercolor and paintbrushes. This month we will be highlighting and painting the chukar (Alectoris chukar).

Whether you bring your friends, family, a partner, or just you, this program is a great way to learn, laugh, and create while connecting with each other, and with the wild beauty of your public lands. Come paint your way through the vibrant stories of Red Rock’s flora and fauna!

Interpretive programs at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are a free public service. Advance registration at https://paintinginpark.timetap.com is required to attend this program. Additionally, a Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive Timed Entry reservation (available at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777) is required.
