Two women walking on a boardwalk over a meadow. One is pushing a stroller with a child inside. Advertising a Pre & Postnatal walk in the park.

Expecting a new little one to join you and your family? During our Pre & Postnatal Walk in the Park you can join an Interpretive Naturalist along a stroller-accessible trail where you’ll learn about recreating with your family-of all ages. This walk will be .6mi (.97km) along the Red Springs Boardwalk. During our walk there will be a stop where there will be a guided stretching activity in nature to prepare your body for what’s ahead as well as set your mind into positivity as an exciting new chapter is beginning in your life!

This program is open to all expecting parents, as well as parents with newborns and young ones! The trail is wheel-chair and stroller accessible, so please feel free to bring your little ones to stretch our legs in the open air. The guided stretches are directed to be comfortable for any stage of pregnancy (whether your in your 1st trimester or your 3rd!) as well as for folks who may have just recently passed the threshold into parenthood! All stretches will also have modifications offered to make sure you are listening to what your body is saying.

After the guided stretches we will all have the opportunity to share excitement, fears, worries, and experiences from all of the lovely parents that join us. Expecting a little one can be nerve-wracking, especially if this is your first time. Join our judgement-free zone as we let all those worries out and end our day with peace of mind.
