What makes the rocks red? How old are they? Why do they have those stripes? We get lots of questions about the rocks here at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area, but you can get some of the answers on this short moderate walk. Join a BLM Ranger who will guide the walks leaving the Calico I parking area at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 12:00 PM.

Registration is not required, all are welcome. No live animals will be present. When visiting Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, it is important to dress accordingly for the weather. It is recommended to wear sunscreen, bring a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water.
