Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
Join Red Rock Audubon and the Bureau of Land Management at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area for a bird walk to Willow Spring to celebrate the Backyard Bird Count! Although this may not be anyone’s backyard, participants will learn the essential modes for identifying birds: size/shape, plumage, behavior, habitat, and sound. We may even meet some species that could come to your backyard! Participants will also learn about the desert plants and how birds utilize different habitats at Red Rock Canyon NRA.
This is a beginner-friendly event, and all ages are welcome. The 0.60-mile boardwalk is wheelchair accessible and has several benches to allow for stops.
Interpretive programs at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are a free public service.
