The Mojave Desert has a rich natural history. Despite being sandwiched between the larger Great Basin & Sonoran Deserts, it has enough mountains, valleys, canyons, and playas for any eager explorer. A Natural History of the Mojave Desert shares how the geology, climate, and organisms (including humans) have shaped and been shaped by this fascinating desert. Authors Fred Landau and Lars Walker will be at the Visitor Center from 11AM until 3PM to sign books. All ages. No registration necessary.
