Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead, so you can join a Bureau of Land Management ranger for a moderate guided hike as spring comes to the Mojave Desert! Although you might not always like getting up early, much of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area’s wildlife is most active around dawn, so this is a great opportunity to watch the sunrise and maybe catch some bird or mammal sightings, too! This hike will be 2 miles (3.2 km) round-trip with around 400 ft (120 m) of elevation gain on the Pine Creek Canyon and Dale’s Trails.
Interpretive programs at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are a free public service. Advance registration redrockcanyonlvprograms.timetap.com is required to attend this program.
This program begins prior to the start of the Timed Entry requirement so no Timed Entry is needed. The entry fee to enter Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area will be required reaching the Fee Station or a valid Public Lands Pass (America the Beautiful).
When visiting Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, it is important to dress accordingly for the weather. It is recommended to wear sunscreen, appropriate footwear, bring a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water.
