Star Party!: After Disclosure Day

Event Details

Join astronomer and College of Southern Nevada professor Matthias Schmitt as he explores UFOs, alien claims, Hollywood’s portrayal of extraterrestrial life, and the Drake Equation. Learn how astronomers evaluate extraordinary evidence and spot misleading arguments in the search for life beyond Earth. Presentation will be followed by stargazing, a constellation tour, and telescope viewing.

Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Rangers and other partners like Friends of Red Rock Canyon, Southern Nevada Conservancy, Save Red Rock, and more, will all be there for an enchanting evening as we explore the beauty and mysteries of our night skies.
