Birds are deeply connected with the natural world around us through a variety of interactions. These connections and interactions currently, and have the ability to, affect the rest of the world in more ways than one. Come witness several of these unique interactions firsthand at the beautiful Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area on an easy 1.0-mile (1.6 km) round trip-hike to remind yourself why birds are vital to each and every one of us. You may even get the chance to directly connect with one of Red Rock’s resident bird species!

Interpretive programs at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are a free public service. Advance registration at is required to attend this program. If you plan to visit the Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive or Visitor Center, please make a timed entry reservation at or by calling 1-877-444-6777.

When visiting Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, it is important to dress accordingly for the weather. It is recommended to wear sunscreen, appropriate footwear, bring a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water.
