World Ranger Day!

It’s World Ranger Day! Join us in the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center anytime from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM to connect with rangers in your community and from around the world! At noon there will be presentations provided by BLM archeologists, biologists and botanists.

There will be indoor activities including speaking with guest rangers, activity tables, special programs, volunteer tips and more!

Is your teen interested in a career in Public Lands or curious about what it means to be a Ranger? One of the activities we have planned for World Ranger Day is Dealing with Disaster! A teen program where students get to explore the different hazards Rangers encounter and how to make the right plan for each situation presented. This program will take place from 10:15am to 11:45am in the Visitor Center Exhibit Area. Interpretive programs at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are a free public service. Registration is not required to attend this event.

When visiting Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, it is important to dress accordingly for the weather. It is recommended to wear sunscreen, appropriate footwear, bring a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water.
