Today is International Haiku Poetry Day. Join an Interpretive Naturalist in the Picnic Area outside of the Visitor Center of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM to write your own Red Rock Canyon haiku. There will be instructions on how to write a haiku as well as paper and writing utensils. All ages and skill sets are welcome!

Interpretive programs at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are a free public service. No registration is required for this program, however, a Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive Timed Entry reservation (available at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777) is required.

When visiting Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, it is important to dress accordingly for the weather. It is recommended to wear sunscreen, appropriate footwear, bring a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water.
