Event Details

It can be intimidating as beginner hiker, but Public Lands are for everyone. Join a BLM ranger at Red Spring to learn the basics of hiking at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. You’ll learn how to be prepared for and plan your next adventure. We will end by hiking the Red Spring Boardwalk Trail. Come share your story, learn from others, and be part of our vibrant community.

This accessible program will take place at the Red Spring Boardwalk. The trail is a 0.6-mile (1 km) raised boardwalk with a total of 62 ft (19 m) of elevation gain. Water is not available at the Red Spring Boardwalk, and a reservation for the Scenic Drive is not required for entry.

Interpretive programs at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are a free public service. Advance registration at redrockcanyonlvprograms.timetap.com is required to attend this program. If you plan to visit the Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive or Visitor Center, please make a timed entry reservation at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.
