Pretty shootingstar (Dodecatheon pulchellum) attracts a lot of visitors with its vivid pink, purple, and gold bloom colors. These flowers normally bloom in April & May and are found along springs & seeps. Pretty shootingstar can grow up to 18” tall and features anywhere from 2 to 25 flowers per plant, growing on the top of the plant. They are considered rare in Red Rock Canyon due to their wet habitat needs so please only take pictures!
