Saturday, September 24th, 2016 is National Public Lands Day, a day to give back to our public lands across the country. Come out and join the Bureau of Land Management, Friends of Red Rock Canyon and the Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Association and assist us with installing directional sign posts, performing trail maintenance and restoration on several of the hiking trails located along the 13-Mile Scenic Drive, and other general maintenance projects. The event will last from 8AM until 12PM. Lunch will be served to all volunteers, and water, snacks, gloves and tools will be provided. Ages 15 and up. Registration is required. To register or find out more information, please contact Cal Howell at 702-515-5386 or [email protected].

The entrance fee for the Scenic Drive will be waived for National Public Lands Day, making it a fee-free day at Red Rock Canyon too!
