As of January 1, 2020, late exit climbing and high-country backpacking permit requests at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area have moved to Recreation.gov. Permits are no longer available by calling the phone line that was used previously (702-515-5050). You can request a permit by clicking the “Buy a Pass” button on the website. Late exit permits are free, but a 50-cent processing fee will be charged.

The permits allow for late exit (up to two hours after the normal closure time) for multi-pitch routes but do not allow for entrance into the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area fee area (Scenic Drive). There is a separate fee, payable at the Fee Station, for entrance into the Scenic Drive. The late exit permit also does not cover camping fees in the campground.
